Taking a short ferry trip to Europe is one of the simplest ways to explore the continent. Walk, cycle, or drive off the ramp, and you’re instantly in a new country. Many travelers have enjoyed historic ports like Saint-Malo, or discovered charming towns such as Honfleur, Bruges, or Antwerp. Within just an hour or so of the coastal ports, you can explore northern France, Belgium, or the Netherlands, enjoying the countryside, local markets, and scenic routes.
Travelers are encouraged to share their best short ferry tips. The most helpful tip will win a £200 voucher to stay at a Coolstays property, which offers over 3,000 unique stays worldwide. Your tip should be around 100 words. Selected tips will appear in the travel section and on the website.
If you have a photo to accompany your story, you can submit it, but the focus will be on your words. Entries are open to UK residents only and must be submitted by Monday, 15 September, at 10am BST. Participants must be 18 or over. You may choose to submit anonymously if preferred.
