Verily Me Designed to Connect Medical Records Across Systems
Alphabet’s life sciences division, Verily, has introduced a new mobile application called Verily Me, aimed at helping users access, organize, and share their medical data securely. The app consolidates health records from multiple providers into one platform, allowing users to receive personalized health insights and recommendations from licensed clinicians.
AI Assistant and Nutrition Tools Among Key Features
Verily Me includes an artificial intelligence assistant named Violet, capable of answering questions such as vaccination dates or details from recent doctor visits. The app also features a nutrition component that lets users photograph their meals to receive instant feedback on dietary choices. Participants can choose to contribute anonymized data to Verily’s Lifelong registry, supporting large-scale health research initiatives.
Emphasis on Privacy and Long-Term Health Strategy
According to Verily, the app prioritizes user consent and data security, ensuring individuals control what information is shared and with whom. The launch marks a broader shift in Verily’s business strategy toward AI-driven healthcare and precision medicine, following its recent pivot away from traditional medical device development.
